Solar Photo-Voltaic Systems

You can now use the sun’s energy to create your own electricity supply to run appliances and lighting through a Solar Photo-Voltaic System (Solar PV). Only requiring daylight, the Solar PV system can supply back-up electricity even on cloudy days!

By converting sunlight into electricity, the PV systems create an electric field causing electricity to flow through your module (the name of your cluster of panels). The greater the intensity of the light, the greater the flow of electricity.

PV systems produce no greenhouse gases and can generate substantial savings over the year, with the possibility of ‘selling’ some of your electricity back to the National Grid, if your area runs such a scheme.
